When you look at a list of MREs, one should think of calories as well. Why Brother Kelvin Muhammad, why would you say that? Depending on you, the environment, task, mission and condition you will need a certain amount of protein and carbohydrates to be successful. I understand that we have certain times that we should eat at but I would not eat all that 1500 calorie meal all at once. Practicing food conservation can be integral for ones survival. You may align with other survivors in worse conditions. The ill may need my food and if I am stronger, I must render food, aid and water. Just something I put my mind to when it comes to survival. Food conservation should be perfected. I would preserve things I do not eat as well but not the prohibited (haram). Since the decline of the dollar, money will be worthless, possessing no value. Now we would have to barter to get things that we need and rid of things we do not. You may not drink milk but 5 gallons of milk may get you an axe and other tools for you to use to chop wood and cook and heat your home with. There are different types of MREs. They have the basic to those that the military uses for humanitarian aid and long range reconnaissance missions. Pick all. Be able to operate in every climate and place. Your comments?
